Safeguarding
Sports Solutions Ltd takes great responsibility in ensuring that children, adults and staff are kept safe and feel safe in their school/work environment. When dealing with safeguarding matters the government/borough guidelines are followed.
As an independent company working within different Schools and Organisations, some schools may slightly differ in regards to their policies. Therefore, we have taken the approach to follow and adhere to the Safeguarding policy and guidelines specific to each school or organisation.
All our staff are DBS checked and sub-contracted qualified coaches. This means that in order for them to obtain a coach license with their respectable governing bodies, they must meet specific requirements such as a valid First Aid Certificate, DBS Check, and Safeguarding Certificate and continue professional development in their chosen field. Without these, they cannot be an approved coach by the governing bodies of a specific sport.
All Safeguarding procedures for our staff, are as follows:
· Take all reasonable steps to ensure the health, safety and welfare of any child or adult
· If a child/adult has highlighted a general concern of theirs, it must be reported at the first available opportunity to a member of staff on site immediately.
· If a child/adult has made a disclosure it will need to be reported at the first available opportunity to the school/organisation designated safeguarding officer or welfare officer
· If a child/adult has highlighted a general concern of theirs and the coach is unsure of what to do, he/she must report this immediately to a member of staff on site and report this to the Managing Director. The Managing Director will then follow this up with the school directly and report to the necessary point of contact.
· Should anyone at any point feel a child/adult could be in immediate danger please proceed without hesitation to contact the police.
· We require all our staff to participate annually in safeguarding courses and workshops to stay up to date with exactly what is going on.
